The President of the Federation of Syrian Chambers of Commerce, Mr. Alaa Omar Al-Ali, in the presence of the Federation's Director General, Mr. Amer Al-Homsi, and the Advisor to the Federation's President, Dr. Anas Al-Bo, received the President and members of the Board of Directors of the Daraa Chamber of Commerce and Industry, as part of a series of meetings aimed at supporting the national economic sector and strengthening cooperation between the Federation and the chambers of commerce in the governorates.
The two sides discussed the state of the commercial and industrial sectors in Daraa Governorate, affirming the strategic importance of reopening the Daraa–Ramtha crossing as a vital artery for trade exchange between Syria and Jordan and a key driver of commercial activity and market revitalisation, bringing economic gains to both sides and restoring vitality to the transport and export sector.
The meeting also addressed the challenges facing industrial facilities in the governorate and the need to provide the necessary support to business owners to ensure continued production and strengthen local investment. Reference was also made to the active role of the Daraa Chamber of Commerce and Industry in supporting investment projects and providing a suitable environment for economic growth, with a positive impact on sustainable development in the governorate.
The Federation's President stressed the importance of coordination and joint work between the Federation of Chambers and the chambers of commerce in the governorates, emphasising that the Federation will remain a key supporter of private-sector initiatives and committed to removing the obstacles facing traders and industrialists, thereby strengthening the standing of the national economy and its capacity to meet challenges.
For their part, the President and members of the Daraa Chamber of Commerce and Industry expressed their appreciation for the Federation's follow-up and support, affirming their readiness to continue working in the interests of the governorate's business community and to contribute to supporting economic activity across the country.
