Dr. Zuhair Hazzaa, member of the Executive Office of the Federation of Syrian Chambers of Commerce and President of the Deir ez-Zor Chamber of Commerce and Industry, discussed with a Turkish economic delegation opportunities for establishing joint investment projects, during a meeting at the Federation's headquarters in Damascus attended by the Federation's Director General, Mr. Amer Al-Homsi, and the Federation's Assistant Director General, Ms. Radia Abdulwahid.
The talks focused on broadening the horizons of economic relations and strengthening the investment environment in Syria, opportunities for joint cooperation, and the possibility of establishing development and investment projects in various sectors, particularly health and logistics services.
The Federation expressed its readiness to support the proposed investment projects and to facilitate communication with the relevant government bodies to ensure their success, stressing the need for continued coordination meetings between the two sides.
For their part, the members of the Turkish delegation expressed their interest in taking part in establishing distinctive projects in Syria, particularly in light of the administrative and logistical facilities the Syrian government offers investors, the availability of promising investment opportunities, and the genuine desire of the Syrian authorities to open up to international strategic partnerships.
