The Federation of Syrian Chambers of Commerce received a high-level delegation from the Turkish Industry and Business Association (TÜSİAD), headed by the association's two Vice Chairs, Ms. Perihan İnci and Mr. Fatih Kemal Ebiçlioğlu, with the participation of a number of the association's members.
The delegation was received by Dr. Anas Al-Bo, member of the Federation's Board of Directors and Chair of the Foreign Relations Committee. The two sides discussed ways to develop trade and investment relations between Syria and Turkey and the opportunities available for partnerships between businesspeople of the two countries, particularly in the industry, textiles, furniture, infrastructure, construction and tourism sectors.
Dr. Anas Al-Bo stressed that the geographical proximity and economic complementarity between the two countries form an important basis for expanding cooperation, pointing to the investment opportunities available in Syria, the improving business environment and the facilities offered to investors.
The meeting also addressed banking, logistics and insurance matters, as well as facilitation at border crossings.
